Dear GHC Family—

This area of our website is organized to help us understand and plan for your family's needs in the months and school year ahead.  

Coordinating placement for the limited number of new families we can admit depends upon the same annual process that first let us commit a spot for your little one(s): gather each current family’s re-enrollment info, and, accordingly, map out the next round of promotions for all children, school-wide, before the fall semester begins.

To that end, please provide us with re-enrollment information for your child(ren) at your earliest convenience, but no later than Wednesday, April 3rd. Please note: Unless we receive your family’s completed documents by this deadline, we cannot assure placement for your child after the month of June.

What’s new for 2019/2020?

Along with additional facilities and playground upgrades, we are planning more opportunities for our community of wonderful families to grow better connected—Grandparents’ Day, Summer Picnic and Fall Festival, to name a few.    

We are excited about enhancements to our Spanish Language and Baby Sign Language curricula, and additional teacher resources for helping children develop soft skills, like persistence, emotional self-awareness, active listening, decision making, and others.

What if none of our info has changed?

Please follow these steps anyway. Some updates and signatures are required by our Department of Education licensing standards each year. Other aspects support the school policies and communications necessary to uphold our program quality. All of it is for the sake of meeting our mutual goals for your child.

Why the April 3rd deadline?

We need time to plan for your child's needs while pursuing parallel commitments on behalf of the other enrolled families, newly enrolling families, and the school as a whole.

Is there a tuition & fee increase?

Yes. New rates are found on the 2019/20 Tuition & Fee Schedule with the enrollment documents that follow.

As with most of 2018, during January of this year our regional economy continued to have the lowest unemployment rate of every major city in the U.S. The effect of this on hiring in our industry, like others, has been profound.

Like in prior years, this increase is directed overwhelmingly at offering competitive wages and benefits for our teachers and staff. In case there is something we could do, please email Lori or David if this increase would create a financial hardship and leave you with no alternative but to seek other arrangements.

When will the 2019/20 rates take effect?

The new rates take effect immediately for incoming families.

For children currently enrolled, the increase over 2018/19 rates will occur upon the earlier of their promotion to the next older group or July 1st.

For currently enrolled families with siblings and for families with new siblings enrolling by October, the sibling discount will continue to be calculated on the younger child’s rate.

What if we aren't sure what we’ll need after Memorial Day?

To minimize the effects of student turnover on the group learning environment, re-enrolling families are asked to commit in principle for the entire upcoming school year—however, this does not change your prerogative (or obligation) to give 30 days’ paid notice of withdrawal, should a neighborhood or career change require you to make other arrangements.

As such, paperwork based on your best projection of what your family will need, is what we need. Please note: If you believe you will not need to re-enroll your child, but if you can't be sure yet, please communicate this to us and we will work with you to postpone a final decision to as late a date as possible.   

 Are any fees due with this process?

No. The 2019/20 enrollment registration fee ($50 per child) will be invoiced with July tuition for re-enrolling families.

Whether this process is paperless for you will depend on your software; we recommend Adobe Acrobat. 

Please email your completed info to Parents@GreenHillsChild.com, or give a printed copy of each completed and signed form to us in person - whichever is easiest for you - by Wednesday, April 3rd.
